There’s a certain thrill in venturing into uncharted territory, and for us, that excitement took the form of establishing a training center that specializes in providing IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association), SPRAT (Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians), and GWO (Global Wind Organisation) courses. The journey from conception to realization was an adventure filled with challenges, learning opportunities, and the satisfaction of building something truly impactful and important for ourselves.
Inception: The Spark of an Idea
The initial idea stemmed from an individual desire to create a training center in the United States as it was created in Brazil. Rodolfo, our CEO, had a very big training center called ITC, located in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro. For years, it was the biggest training center in Latin America for IRATA.
Research and Preparation: Setting the Foundation
Research became our guiding light. We delved deep into the specific requirements and standards set by IRATA, SPRAT, and GWO, ensuring our center would meet and exceed these stringent benchmarks. From structuring to acquiring the necessary equipment and hiring seasoned instructors, meticulous planning became the cornerstone of our journey.
Navigating Challenges: Overcoming the Obstacles
As with any venture, challenges were abundant. From logistical hurdles (like moving a container to inside of the warehouse) to regulatory compliance (business tax receipt inspections), each obstacle tested our resolve. Yet, every obstacle was an opportunity to learn, adapt, and strengthen our foundation… and get us exhausted and tired.
The Grand Opening: Bringing the Vision to Life
Finally, after months of tireless effort, our training center is ready to open its doors. The inaugural training programs, ranging from basic to advanced levels, welcomed enthusiastic individuals ready to embark on their own journeys in these industries. We are offering GWO, IRATA, and SPRAT courses.
