Technician performing bravus group rope access services on high-rise building

About Us

Bravus Group specializes in repairing, painting, cleaning and inspecting buildings from the outside – at any height – using a rope-based access system instead of traditional scaffolding. Our certified technicians work safely suspended from ropes anchored to the rooftop, reaching spots that cranes and scaffolding cannot access easily. This means faster service, lower cost, and less disruption to your building and its residents.

We are the only SPRAT-member rope access service company in Florida (SPRAT – Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians — is the leading US safety certification for rope work). Our technicians are also certified by IRATA (the international equivalent), ensuring world-class safety standards on every project.

We specialize in high-rise and hard-to-reach work on building facades, towers, industrial plants and offshore/onshore structures.

Bravus is an active member of the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT), and we operate Bravus Academy, our own training center in South Florida, offering SPRAT certification courses and GWO training for wind energy professionals.

Across commercial, residential and industrial projects, we consistently work above OSHA requirements, combining safety, innovation and performance on every job.

SPRAT / IRATA Certified Technicians

Our rope access technicians hold certifications from SPRAT (Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians — the leading US safety body) and IRATA (International Rope Access Trade Association — the global standard). Think of these as a pilot’s license, but for building technicians. They undergo continuous training, including rescue procedures, equipment inspection and advanced rigging techniques.

OSHA Compliance

We follow all applicable OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations — the federal safety standards required for all construction and maintenance work in the US. Our internal protocols often exceed these minimums, meaning your project is held to an even higher standard of safety.

Equipment & Inspections
All harnesses, ropes, anchors and hardware are regularly inspected and replaced according to international standards and manufacturer recommendations.

Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

Before every project, our team prepares a written risk assessment — similar to a pre-flight checklist for a pilot. We identify every potential hazard, define safety controls, and brief the entire crew before a single rope is deployed. This ensures zero surprises and maximum safety for everyone involved.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Rope Access & Exterior Building Maintenance

Rope access is a professional method used to safely reach difficult or elevated areas of a building, structure, or industrial site using ropes, harnesses, anchors, and specialized access techniques. It allows trained technicians to perform inspection, repair, maintenance, cleaning, painting, caulking, and other services without the need for traditional scaffolding or swing stages. Bravus Group uses rope access for high-rise buildings, commercial properties, industrial facilities, and hard-to-reach structures.

Rope access technicians use a two-rope system: one working rope and one independent safety backup rope. The technician is connected to both systems while descending, ascending, or positioning at the work area. This allows the team to safely access vertical, confined, or hard-to-reach locations while carrying out the required service.

Yes, when performed by properly trained and certified technicians following strict safety procedures. Rope access is built around controlled access, redundant rope systems, anchor planning, rescue readiness, equipment inspection, and job-specific risk assessment. Bravus Group emphasizes safety as a core part of every project.

Rope access can often be faster, more flexible, and less disruptive than scaffolding or swing stages. It can reduce setup time, minimize building obstruction, and allow technicians to reach specific work areas efficiently. For many high-rise and commercial projects, rope access helps reduce downtime, traffic interruption, and access-related costs.

Rope access is commonly used for high-rise buildings, hotels, condominiums, commercial properties, industrial facilities, stadiums, bridges, towers, and other structures where traditional access methods may be expensive, slow, or impractical.

Yes. Rope access can help technicians reach exterior areas where water intrusion may be occurring, including windows, sealant joints, stucco cracks, façade penetrations, and roof-edge transitions. However, if the source of the leak is hidden, structural, roof-related, or coming from another area, a broader inspection may be required before repair.

Yes. Bravus Group provides post-construction window cleaning for commercial and high-rise properties, including difficult-to-access glass areas. The company’s project portfolio includes post-construction cleaning work.

In many cases, rope access is less disruptive than scaffolding or swing stages because it requires less physical setup and can be targeted to specific areas. This is especially valuable for hotels, condominiums, commercial buildings, and occupied properties where minimizing disruption is important.

SPRAT stands for Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians. It is a recognized rope access certification system for technicians who work at height or in difficult access environments. Bravus Academy offers SPRAT training at its training center.

Rope access may be the right solution if your project involves:

  • High-rise façades
  • Difficult-to-access exterior areas
  • Localized repairs
  • Window or glass work at height
  • Sealant failure
  • Water intrusion investigation
  • Stucco damage
  • Painting or waterproofing in vertical areas
  • Inspection needs without major building disruption

Bravus Group can evaluate the scope and recommend whether rope access is the appropriate method.
